Type of Leader:

Civilization:
Spain
Ferdinand Magellan was a determined and visionary leader, whose unwavering belief in his westward route to the Spice Islands drove him to defy both Portuguese opposition and the skepticism of his own Spanish-backed fleet. His leadership was marked by both strategic brilliance and ruthless discipline, as seen in his navigation through uncharted waters and his suppression of mutinies within his crew. However, his rigid authority and miscalculations in diplomacy ultimately led to his downfall, as his overconfidence in local conflicts in the Philippines resulted in his death at the Battle of Mactan.
